Steps to Add and Remove Virtual Desktop in Windows 10

REQUIREMENT
- Windows 10 OS Installed machine
CREATE VIRTUAL DESKTOP USING HOT KEYS
Windows Key + Ctrl + D
CREATE VIRTUAL DESKTOP USING SCRIPTS (POWER SHELL)

CREATE VIRTUAL DESKTOP MANUALLY
- From the Task-bar click on Task View
- Click or tap the + New desktop button found on the top-left corner of the screen
OR
- Press Windows Key + Tab
- Click or tap the + New desktop button found on the screen
Note:
- If you want to create more virtual desktops, repeat the procedure above: click or tap again on + New desktop
- New desktops are always created on the right side of the line
- There’s no limit to how many desktops you can create
CLOSING VIRTUAL DESKTOP USING HOT KEYS
Windows Key + Ctrl +F4
CLOSING ALL VIRTUAL DESKTOP USING SCRIPTS (POWER SHELL)

CLOSING VIRTUAL DESKTOP MANUALLY
- From the Task-bar click on Task View
- You will get all virtual desktops which are created
- Click on X mark Right-top coroner the virtual desktop
Note:
- Any application running in the virtual desktop, if that Virtual desktop is closed, that application will be moved to active desktop
NAVIGATE BETWEEN VIRTUAL DESKTOPS
- To shift between the desktops, use the Windows key + Ctrl and the left or right arrow keys
- You can also Change the orientation of your display by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Arrow Keys
- If your desk top is in portrait mode, you can change it back to normal mode by pressing Ctrl + Alt + UP arrow key
Note:
- Windows key + Ctrl + Alt + Arrow Keys, works if two are more virtual desktops are created
DISABLING HOT KEYS IN WINDOWS
Windows does not include a built-in switch to activate or deactivate a key combination. You might want to use a 3rd-party software to block the key combination (i.e. Shift+F2)
